Junior YPTC is a foundation training course for talented young people aged 15-19 who are seriously considering a career in the performing arts. Classes in acting, singing, dance and voice are designed to give students the best possible basis on which to develop their skills and go on to further training either in YPTC or drama schools. We also have some students who go straight into professional work.

Classes work towards fully staged performances which are attended by casting directors and producers and help our young students to find their first jobs as professional performers. Entry to the company is by audition only although a significant number of young people who have attended Hopeful Monsters classes also move up to JYPTC. Attendance and committment levels are high and students are expected to do extra work at home.
So far, JYPTC performances have included the 'Era of Youth Showcase' at RADA, a modern showcase combining original acting sketches, street and jazz dance, and contemporary songs, Kids4Kids tours of London schools with devised sketches, songs and dances in a cabaret style show and '1963 - They Had A Dream', a new musical produced at the Cochrane Theatre in April 2009.
Junior YPTC runs from 11.30 - 6.30 every Saturday in term time and the cost is £18 per week.
